The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult

NOT TO BE MISSED !
Jodi Picoult is not afraid to address difficult emotional issues in families. In The Tenth Circle Daniel Stone, a cartoonist, is a stay-at-home Dad who has been very close to his 14 year old daughter since the diaper stage.
She’s in high school now and dating. Things are just beginning to be hard in his marriage when Trixie calls home one night after being raped at a party. There are no secrets in this small town in Maine as the two families struggle to protect their children.
Interspersed in the story are pages from the comic book Daniel is creating at the time. It follows the story line and is an expression of his grief and rage as the book develops. This is an unusual storytelling method and very well done.
