As Summer Reading 2011 ends, we would like to thank all our young readers and wish them well in the new school year. Thanks also to our sponsors for their continued support.

Fall is approaching and if you have plans for your garden, visit us on September 15 for "Bulbfest"! We will have flower bulbs and instructions for planting available for you!

We have recently received many new books. Here are a few:

Hillsboro Library Childrens Programs February 2010

 
February 11 - Join us for Family Night: Exploring Feelings at 6:30 PM in the Childrens Room downstairs.
February 13 - Kiss the Frog Story Party for ages 2-10 years old.  from 10:30-11:30 AM
February 15 - The Library will be closed for President's Day.

Regular Story Times:
Tuesday at 10:30 AM Miss Betty has stories and fun for 3-5 year olds.
Friday at 10:30 AM - 2-5 Year Olds and a Caregiver can join Miss Colleen for Story Time.
Friday Story Times will stop indefinitely after Feb. 15th.

  • FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PICKED UP THEIR MERRY MONEY:

         Merry Money Christmas Shops will be held at the Lynchburg on Sat., Dec. 5 from 10:30am to 2:30pm & on Monday, Dec. 7 from 4pm - 6:30pm (There will be no storytimes on Dec. 7)
 

  • Pageturners Book Discussion - Monday, Dec. 7 from 10am-11:30am. The group will be talking about Look Again by Lisa Scottoline.  If you've read this book & want to comment on it, please join us!

 

  • Annual Christmas Tea - Thursday, Dec. 10 @ 3:30pm. We require that you sign up in advance, due to limited room.

 

  • Maps & information about the Annual Lynchburg Village Christmas weekend (Dec. 11 & 12) are now available at the Lynchburg Library!

 

  • Knit-n-Stitch will be held on the first three Thursdays of December, at the usual time of 5:30pm. The group will meet out in the library instead of in the meeting room.

 

  • There will be no storytimes during the last two weeks of December. Storytimes will resume on January 4, 2010.
