2012 is here and has been a great winter so far. We are decorated for snow here at the library, but it would be OK if we don’t have much outside to go along with it.  We have a fun contest going on & someone will win a Snowman wall hanging.  Just fill out a slip at check out and you may be the lucky one.

As we enter a new year, the Highland County District Library wishes their patrons a safe and happy 2012!

Wednesday, January 4 through 11—After Christmas Book Sale in the Community Room during open hours.

Thursday, January 5, 12, 19 & 26—Knit Together meets from 5:30-7 PM. New members are always welcome. Come and join the group regardless of your knitting experience.

Thursday, December 1, 8 & 15—Knit Together from 5:30-7 PM. Bring your current project and join us for knitting and conversation.

Saturday, December 3—Merry Money Christmas Store from 10:30-2:30. Please bring your child and their money during your pre-assigned shopping time to purchase gifts. The elves will be available to assist your children.

Down in the Children's Area,  there is still a book sale table with the Dollar a Bag Special going on.

Family Night will be on the 17th with a chance to Make a Pumpkin Pie in a bag.  Register at the Desk for 5-12 year olds and their Families.

November 26th will be the last day that children can trade their Reading Logs for Merry Money. 

We will not be having Story Time with Miss Nikki on the 11th (as we will be closed for Veterens Day) or on the Day after Thanksgiving (the 25th of November.)
