Thursday, December 1, 8 & 15—Knit Together from 5:30-7 PM. Bring your current project and join us for knitting and conversation.
Saturday, December 3—Merry Money Christmas Store from 10:30-2:30. Please bring your child and their money during your pre-assigned shopping time to purchase gifts. The elves will be available to assist your children.
Saturday, December 3 & Thursday, December 15—Dawna Jo Kiesling from the Highland County Extension Office will be here to share tips on Holiday Nutrition tips from 10:00-12:00.
Monday, December 5—SPARX Teen Book Group meets at 5:30 PM for their Christmas Party. The book being discussed is Die for Me by Amy Plum. Participants are asked to bring a snack to share and a goodie bag (worth about $5) to use as a gift exchange. Join us for some holiday fun!
Sunday, December 11—Leesburg Luminaria from 5:30-7 PM. Presentation of the King and Queen will begin at 5:45 PM at the Leesburg Library with Open House receptions continuing at the Library and area businesses until 7 PM. Community church service will begin at 7:30 PM at the Walnut Hill Church of Christ in C.U. on Barger Rd.
Thursday, December 15—RRR will meet at 1:30 PM.
Monday, December 19--Evening Story Time 3-5 yr. olds. We have had many requests for an evening story time for children who may not be able to make our Thursday morning story times. We invite parents and their 3-5 yr. olds to join us on the third Monday of each month from 6-6:30 PM for lots of fun!
Story Times continue on Thursdays. This month’s themes include Jingle Bells, O Christmas Tree and Candy Cane Day. There will be no story times on December 22, 29 and January 5. Story times will resume on Thursday, January 12. Wee Ones (6-36 months) meet at 10 AM; Tater Tots (3-5 yrs) meet at 10:30 AM.
The Library will be closed on December 24 and 25 & 26 and December 31, January 1 and 2nd in observance of the Christmas and New Year holidays. Please use our outdoor book drop when returning items on days we are closed. We at the Leesburg Library would like to take this opportunity to wish all our patrons a Merry and Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
