Protecting Your Privacy on Public computers

When you are checking your email or logging into any online account from a public computer,  it is very important to 1) log off or sign out of your account and 2) Close the browser by clicking the red X in the upper right corner of your screen.
This is very important whether you are at the library or using a public computer at a hotel when you are on vacation.  You do not want the next person who uses that computer to be able to log into your account and send email for which you might be blamed.
Also:
  * To be sure you have cleared you personal information you may also want to go to the Tools Menu in Internet Explorer and choose "Delete Browsing History".
  *  Remember to check that you have not left any open windows laying on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen that may still contain open sessions to a site where you were logged in.
   * Don't forget to take any diskettes, flash drives, or papers that you brought in with you when you leave.
