Security

What does it mean that our reference request form is "not secure"?
It means that the words you type are not encrypted or coded before they are sent out on the Internet. This means that it is possible for people to "eavesdrop" on your message. You should consider that if you are going to put anything in the message that you would rather not have known. This is why we ask only for a first name and not a full name.

Why do I have to give any personal information?
We want to be sure that we can respond to you and not just anyone in your household.

Privacy

Will my question, name, and phone number be put on your website?
NO! We place a high value on your right to ask a question privately, which is why we warn you about the security issues above. It is against our policies to give out any of your personal information that we may have collected (addresses, what you have been reading or asking, etc.) to anyone. In fact, we try to avoid collecting information that we do not need. We might at some future date compile a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and their answers, but it will never include any identification of the questioners.

Do you collect any other information from me than what is on the form?
No, while this type of form has the capability of collecting information about your internet service provider and what browser software you were using we aren't using these features.
