Saturday, October 1- Get Frozen Christmas reading program begins.  For kids through 4th grade.  Pick up rules and reading logs at the front desk and start reading!  The winter holiday party at the library will be on Saturday, December 3.  

Saturday, October 1 – Paper Bag Mask Decorating Contest.  Kids & Teens! Pick up a paper shopping bag at the front desk or use your own and decorate it using any medium (paint, markers, etc.)  Write your name and age on the back of the bag and turn it in by Saturday, October 22.   Prizes will be awarded!   

Thursday, October 6, 13, 20, 27—Knit Together meets from 5:30-7 PM.

Monday, October 10—Library will be closed for Columbus Day.  Feel free to use our book drop to return items.

Thursday, October 13—SPARX teen book discussion group meets at 5:30 PM.  All Leesburg teens grades 7 & up invited to attend.   Join us for food and some frightfully good fun.  Book being discussed is One for the Murphys by Lynda Mullaly Hunt.

Thursday, October 20—RRR will be having a lunch outing this month @ The Willows in Washington Courthouse.   Meet at the restaurant at 11:30 AM.

Thursday, October 20-Get your spooky on with Appalachian Paranormal Explorations (APEX) from 6-7 PM.  Join us for an interesting evening describing their ghost hunting investigations in our area.

Thursday, October 27—Trick or Treat with the Leesburg Library from 6-7 PM.  Please note that we will be closed during the last hour of Beggar’s Night, so if you want to visit with us, please arrive before 7 PM.

Thursday, October 6, 13, 20, 27– Story Times!  Wee Ones (age 6 months- 36 months) meet at 10 AM.  Tater Tots (age 3-5 years) meet at 10:30 AM.   Our themes for this month include Teddy Bear Tea (bring a teddy bear), Fire Prevention, Creatures of the Night, and Happy Halloween (wear costume).
