 *Looking Back on 2009:

In 2009 our Highland County District Libraries checked out an average of 1,880 items a day.  Our patrons came in and signed up to use a computer about 150 times a day.  We don't have a firm count on how many people brought their laptops in and used our free Wi-Fi, but we saw them every day.

We were glad to see you all last year and we look forward to seeing you again this year.

And Online our patrons were busy checking out about 5 books, audiobooks, music and even movies every day from our online e-Book & Digital Download Catalog, even when we weren't open.

Our Libraries will be closed:

 February 15, 2010 - President's Day

Want to work on your Computer Skills?  We have free hands-on options you can explore:

  • We are scheduling for our most basic classes call 393-3114.   (These are being scheduled on a one by one basis at the main library, call the branches to get on the list for their next small group class sessions this fall.)
  • We have links to Free Basic Online Computer Training that you can try.
