Learn how the drum and bugle made a difference during the Civil War during this informative presentation and demonstration by Matt Williams.

The Bacchanal Steel Band Duo is part of Cincinnati's premiere Caribbean ensemble, featuring instruments made from 55-gallon oil barrels. Since 1998, the band has been entertaining and educating around the Tri-State and beyond with its combination of calypso, soca, reggae, pop, and classical music. They have performed for the Lynchburg-Clay Elementary, and we are pleased to have them at the Lynchburg Library. Brian Malone has family ties to Lynchburg, so please come out and welcome him and his wife, Jennie, back to town! FREE for all ages.

Learn to crochet with The Chain Gang. This is for beginners and for those who've been away from crocheting for a long time. We meet every Thursday, so jump in any time and stay as long as you like. Needles and a booklet will be provided for beginners.

Explore body awareness, nutrition, and health in this energizing hands-on program for Preschool - Grade 1. First, we'll examine the way that our bodies move and work -- both inside and out. Then, you'll see what it's like to become a physician yourself as you encounter the science behind the incredible human body! You'll assemble real X-rays into a human skeletal system, measure your active heart rate, explore balance, test your senses, and learn through play using real medical tools!  Limit 30 participants, so please sign up in advance (ages 2 1/2  - grade 1 only).
